Most of the puzzles aren't terribly hard, but a few are frustrating for various reasons. The graphics are cartoony, but can still be a bit eerie in line with the book series. The music can be a little bit more melancholy than spooky. There are lots of appearances from classic monsters, as well as some that must be a bit newer because I didn't recognize them. Plenty of fun achievements to get that will take a couple play throughs (I will have to go back and get them) It's not groundbreaking or anything but it does things pretty well and I think if you like Goosebumps whether you're 8 or 30, you should probably give this a try.. To get a view of my point and click mystery-solving skills, you should probably know I have to play Nancy Drew games projected on a TV in a whole group of people so that we don't get too frustrated. This qualifier is there so that when I say, "well, I'm currently stuck, and despite acquiring a ton of items I have little clue where they go yet," you can see whether that's somehow true for you. That said, I'm really, really enjoying this. Yes, part of it is the "Goosebumps Nostalgia"--but unlike when I rewatch the TV series or films now, and find myself semi-bored and unable to deal with the poor quality, this game holds up. (So far at least.) Art and graphic style is pleasing but also doesn't take you out of the feel of Goosebumps. I've run into plenty of identifiable objects/mysteries so far (though haven't solved or used a bunch of them... yet!). But if you're not familiar with them, I don't think you really lose much either. Anything you would is usually just a "welp, that's a death" scenario where the start over can correct your error. The enjoyment of the game definitely comes from the game itself, not just its throw backs, and so far I am having a blast.. Such a guilty pleasure. Although I wish the game was longer, I do enjoy playing it every once in a while.. I bought this game as I was a huge fan of Escape from Horrorland as a kid... and I have to say this game doesn't even come close to that magical game. The sound quality, the writing, the characters and the voice acting... Even if it was a little dorky (but hey the 90s were full of that!)Well it was good for the nostalgia but it definitely didn't have much to it.I would have enjoyed this more if it was a point and click, animated adventure, with more depth to the world, more ambience and mood with the music, and if the characters had voice actors to act it out.If you do want to go down nostalgia road I would recommend waiting for it to be on sale. Beware though, the ending is definitely not as awesome as a Goosebumps books' ending.. Challenging Point and click game. brought some nostalgia back.. It's time 4 goosebumpsIt's time 2 get scared xd. After poking around for some time, doing some random stuff like clock thingy and finally resolving to walk-trough, I have stopped playing. What was supposed to be an enjoyable time became utterly annoying experience.
